Chairman of the Union of Economists of Turkmenistan Yuri Aronsky, analyzing the results of the country's socio-economic development for 2021, shared his vision regarding the opportunities for the development of Turkmen exports.

In the field of fuel and energy complex, first of all, the establishment of liquefied gas supplies is seen as interesting, the expert believes. This product is now very popular and in demand in the markets of Asia and Europe. In 2021, Turkmenistan established supplies of liquefied gas to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, and a little earlier to Afghanistan. The expert believes that this laid the foundation for the country's further success in this direction.

There is great potential to increase the export of Turkmen textiles and vegetables, Aronsky notes. Global markets in these sectors of the economy are very competitive, and in order to consistently be successful suppliers, today it is imperative that enterprises implement complex international standards such as GLOBAL, G.A.P and ESG.

In the presence of such standards, many doors in Europe and on the American continent immediately open for goods from Turkmenistan. To obtain them, companies need to work hard, and practice shows that this is realistic, since the country already has national companies and experts in the field of implementing such standards.
