President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov visited the Uzynada field in the Esenguly district of the Balkan region on Thursday, where he held a meeting with TEC leaders. Prior to the meeting, the President reviewed samples of new technological equipment used in the country's oil and gas industry and projects for the further development of the Caspian Sea coastal deposits.

The head of state was informed by the Deputy Prime Minister Shakhim Abdrakhmanov, the heads of the state corporation "Turkmengeology", the concern "Turkmenneft" and its design institute.President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov focused on the scientific component of the work on diversification of the domestic energy sector, the development of world best practices in this field and the attraction of advanced technologies in the industry through active international cooperation and the training of highly qualified personnel.The meeting focused on geological exploration, drilling of wells, modernization of mining infrastructure. According to experts, this area has an oil reserves of about 5 million tons. In accordance with the prospects of industrial development of the North Goturdepe field, the need for the construction of a gas compressor station at this site is also indicated.
