Turkmen Urea Worth $42.4 Million Sold For Export Through Exchange

The company from Singapore made a deal to procure 150 thousand tons of urea grade B for $42.4 million during the Monday trades at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET).

The price of the urea produced at the Garabogazkarbamid plant, located in the country’s western province of Balkan, amounted to $283 per ton, the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.

For the domestic market, local businesses purchased 110 tons of high-density polyethylene grade T60-475-119 for a total of 1.9 million manats, a thousand ton of calcined petroleum coke for 3.7 million manats and 2 thousand tons of petroleum coke for 4.2 million manats.

At the same time, Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased 2.5 thousand tons of oil bitumen for a total of 3.8 million manats and handmade carpets for a total amount of 102.4 thousand manats.

On Monday, the SCRMET registered 27 transactions for a total of $42.4 million and 13.8 million Turkmen manats.
