The Government of Turkmenistan plans to undertake in-depth modernization of Turkmenbashy and Seyidi oil refineries. Foreign companies have also been involved in tenders, Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrahmanov, who oversees the fuel and energy sector, said at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
To improve the operation of the refinery, a feasibility study is being developed jointly with partners. The document must:
- to identify specific promising vectors for the development of refineries,
- to reflect the possibilities of modernization of existing technological facilities,
-to select for construction new installations for the production of products in demand on the world market
- to increase the depth of processing of raw materials,
- to lead to the creation of new environmentally friendly and waste-free industries.
