At the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, has established the production of A-98 gasoline, which meets the requirements of the EURO-6 quality standard and can be exported to countries with strict environmental legislation. This was announced at a Cabinet meeting on Friday by Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrahmanov, who oversees the fuel and energy sector in the government, the official Turkmen press writes today. The international laboratory of the Saybolt company from the Netherlands awarded certificates to Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries confirming the compliance of the fuel of the new brand with the environmental requirements of K5 and EURO-6 standards, Abdrahmanov said.
What is EURO-6
This is the standard that regulates the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases of vehicles in the European Union. If the fuel does not suit the requirements of the EURO-6 standard, it cannot be used in the EU. The EURO-6 standard is similar in its requirements to the EPA 10 environmental standards in the USA and Post NOT in Japan, which have been in effect since 2010. So the new eco-friendly Turkmen gasoline can be supplied to the listed countries and will increase the competitiveness of the fuel and energy complex of the country.
