Specialists of the State Corporation "Turkmengeologiya" are conducting prospecting works to identify drinking water deposits in the territories of the country's regions. Modern technologies and equipment are used in exploration of underground water, Deputy Сhairman Batyr Amanov reported at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on January 19.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the relevance of hydrogeologists' tasks in searching for drinking water deposits, emphasizing the importance of scientific support for this activity and advocating for strengthening its material and technical component.

Water issues were also covered in the report of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atakhallyev, who reported on measures taken to create additional water reserves in reservoirs for irrigation of agricultural crops.
