Turkmenistan-Afghanistan Partnership Fuels Momentum for TAPI Project

Muhammetmyrat Amanov, CEO of TAPI Pipeline Company Ltd, alongside Hoja Ovezov, Turkmenistan's Ambassador, and Shahabuddin Delawar, Afghanistan's Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, convened in Herat to initiate practical work within the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) project.


Discussions spanned the TAPI transnational gas pipeline project's significance, land allocation for pipeline construction, and dispatching a technical team from Turkmenistan to Kabul, the Afghan Ministry of Mines and Petroleum reported. 


Shahabuddin Delawar championed TAPI's benefits for all participating nations, expressing Afghan support for this expansive economic initiative and the government's openness to collaborative efforts.


Following the meeting, the parties emphasized the necessity for ongoing technical consultations, underscoring the commitment to expediting the project's progress.
