The SIFC Committee, which includes the country's top civilian and military leadership, in particular, gave instructions to achieve specific results within a specified time frame for the TAPI project and other named priority projects.

By November 30, 2023, the following must be concluded: Host Government Agreement (HGA); Gas Transportation Agreement (LNG); Pipeline system rules, etc.

The committee also sought a report from the Minister of Petroleum, Industry and Production and the Minister of Finance on progress in ensuring a stable supply of gas for the needs of industry, power generation, commercial and residential consumers.

It is reported that discussions will be held at the ministerial level to study the possibility and mechanism for purchasing electricity from Turkmenistan, and options for swap gas supplies from Azerbaijan/Turkmenistan will also be considered.
