Head of India Ram Nath Kovind will visit Turkmenistan on April 1-4 at the invitation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India.
This will be the first-ever visit of an Indian President to Turkmenistan, the information emphasizes.
High-level talks are expected during the visit, during which issues of bilateral and regional cooperation will be discussed. One of the topics will be the implementation of the results of the India-Central Asia summit.
As a result of the meeting, it is planned to sign a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding.
Also, one of the topics of negotiations may be the implementation of the Turk-minister-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project.
