The Project of Investment Program of Turkmenistan for 2024 was presented at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday, January 19. Deputy Chairman Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on this agenda item.
In particular, the Investment Program for 2024 includes such projects as construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, a new airport in the Balkan region, a combined power plant with a capacity of 1,574 MW, the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway, a bridge over Garabogaz Bay, and the second phase of Arkadag city. This was reported in the news release of Turkmen State TV and Radio.
It was noted that in order to improve living conditions of the population, large investments will be directed to the construction of social facilities: residential houses, health care institutions, secondary schools and kindergartens, highways, housing and communal services.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Chairman to once again review the presented draft in detail, pointing out that comprehensive measures to develop industrial sectors and create new enterprises should be coordinated with the tasks to ensure social protection of the population.
