International conference “Sustainable cooperation in the energy sector – an important prerequisite for global development”, 1 December 2020, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan

International Conference “Sustainable cooperation in the energy sector – an important prerequisite for global development” dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, and to the energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan was held on December 1.

The conference, which was held in the conference hall of the Scientific Research Institute under the State Concern “Turkmengaz” brought together over 220 delegates from 70 companies, 123 of which participated online.

The agenda of the conference included sessions on: sustainable energy cooperation, Turkmenistan's energy diplomacy, financial institutions etc. It is encouraging that along with major energy companies such as CNPC, LUKOIL, PETRONAS, , DRAGON OIL, representatives of prominent international organizations IGU, GECF, The Energy Charter, EU, OSCE and leading international financial institutions participated in the conference.

XXV “Oil & Gas of Turkmenistan” international conference, 28 - 29 October 2020, Ashgabat

The agenda of the conference included sessions on: global trends in the development of the fuel and energy sector, energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan, the implementation of the TAPI gas pipeline, attracting investment in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, prospects for gas chemical projects, etc. Senior management and representatives of both Turkmen State organisations and leading international oil and gas companies, as well as major international financial institutions participated in the Conference.

A novelty of OGT-2020 was that, in addition to the traditional format of the conference, online streaming on Zoom Professional platform was arranged to over 30 countries. The same hybrid format was used to organize meetings (both online and in person) with the senior management of the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan.

"Oil and Gas Turkmenistan" Investment roadshow, 24 – 25 February 2020, Dubai, UAE

Representatives of the world’s largest oil and gas companies - important players in the global hydrocarbon market - gathered at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights Hotel on February 24-25. The conference titled as TAPI – the pipeline for peace and cooperation (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline and a roadshow on attracting investment in the oil & gas sector of Turkmenistan was attended by over 300 delegates from 113 companies and oil & gas corporations interested in cooperating with Turkmenistan - one of the largest exporter of natural gas in Central Asia. The event was organized by State Concerns “Turkmengas” in partnership with Turkmen Forum and GaffneyCline.

The International Road Show «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan 2020», marked a new approach to investment attraction undertaken by the Turkmen National Oil Companies in partnership with the Turkmen Forum and Gaffney, Cline & Associates.

The Dubai investment roadshow served as a good platform to get first-hand information about new investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector not only for International Oil & Gas companies based in UAE but also from USA, Europe and the wider Middle East region .

OGT – 2019
XXIV “Oil & Gas of Turkmenistan” (OGT) international conference, 22 - 23 October 2019, Ashgabat

The leaders and representatives of government agencies of Turkmenistan and leading oil and gas companies, major international organizations, and financial institutions took part in the conference. Conference speakers list included: President of Gaffney, Cline & Associates, Chief Executive Officer of Petronas, Vice President of China National Petroleum Corporation International, Executive Director of SOCAR Trading, and others. The 24th International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan" was held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, and aimed at promoting the development of Turkmenistan’s energy sector, its integration into the world economic system and attraction of new investment addition, as part of the business forum program, meetings were held with the senior management of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan to establish cooperation and trip to a new gas chemical plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas near Ashgabat (GTG Plant in Ovadandepe) was organized.

Business Forum within the 1 st Caspian Economic Forum, 11 August 2019, Awaza, Turkmenistan

The event was organized by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in partnership with Turkmen Forum within the scope of the 1st Caspian Economic Forum and brought together leading private companies and NOCs as well as IOCs and heads of international organisations. Business Forum served as an excellent platform for strengthening partnership and enhancing cooperation. One to one meetings between CEOs of IOC and senior management of the oil & gas sector of Turkmenistan were organised. In addition, business meetings between entrepreneurs from Turkmenistan and the Caspian littoral states were organized. The agenda of the forum included:discussion of issues related to the development of trade-economic and transport cooperation, including creation of conditions for large-scale projects, discussions of the role of Caspian littoral states integration into the wider global context, regional energy projects, development of trade and scientific cooperation etc.

X International Gas Congress (TGC – 2019) 21-22 May 2019, Awaza, Turkmenistan

The Congress, a prestigious business forum, is held annually to develop and strengthen international partnerships between Turkmen state organisations and the international oil and gas industry. A detailed review of Turkmenistan’s gas market and the latest petrochemical projects and project opportunities were presented, and the world’s leading oil and gas companies shared their vision and expertise.
